Steps

How it works:

The guest leaves a tip only when they want to

01

The waiter receives tips instantly and directly

02

Total transparency for the guest and the waiter

03

Tipping made easy, fast, and stress-free

04

There are no commissions
for the guest

05

You can leave a tip
in 10 seconds

06
The QRdid app is a convenient way to leave tips directly to the waiter via a QR code
About the Project

QRdid — a new level of interaction between the guest and the waiter

This reduces the value of individual tips for both the guest and the employee
In the USA, the significance of tips is devalued as they are distributed among the entire team
QRdid’s mission is to change the perception of tipping as a routine procedure and to increase interest in tipping as a fair thank you to a specific employee in a comfortable format
That allows earning in segment:
Product Monetization
An effective business model
Commission for cashing out tips by the performer
The service will take a commission of 10% of the withdrawal amount. There is no commission for the person leaving the tip
However, approximately two out of three (66%) adult Americans have a negative attitude towards tipping
Market
The estimated tipping market in the USA exceeds $ 36 billion annually
Considering an annual growth of ~5%, the projected market volume in 10 years will be $ 65.2 billion
We asked: How often, if ever, do you leave a tip or gratuity for each of the following?

Risks and Competitors
Not ready to invest?
We have already studied the potential risks and know how to handle them
Competition from Apple
Risk: iPhone users may prefer Apple's built-in feature, complicating the attraction of this audience
Apple plans to release a money transfer feature via NFC
QRdid solution:
We adapt the product for Android users, who currently outnumber iOS users (56% to 44% in favor of Android)
Licensing and regulatory compliance
Difficulty: increased operating costs for licensing and meeting regulatory requirements
Processing payments will require obtaining licenses and compliance with AML/KYC and PCI DSS requirements
QRdid solution:
We initially include all operational expenses for licensing in the first round of investment, which will facilitate fully legal operation of the product
High cost of developing and supporting the app
Difficulty: increased operating costs at the product's start and early development stages
Developing the app and maintaining its operation while considering all necessary security requirements will require significant financial investment
QRdid solution:
The development of the beta version is fully funded by the startup founder, and the first round of investment does not include cash-out — all funds will go to development and promotion
